The Office of Victim Services (OVS), Connecticut Judicial Branch, is the state’s lead agency established to provide services to victims of violent crime. This includes Court Victim Advocates and Compensation for Crime Victims.

Connecticut SAVIN, operated by the VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) service, is an automated victim information and notification service that provides crime victims and other interested parties with automatic notice of relevant offender information and status reports as a case proceeds through the criminal justice system. Crime victims and interested individuals may register to receive notifications by telephone or by e-mail.  To register for this free program you can either visit the website or call.
